Dano
Whats up? I’m Daniel Molloy, I’m 16 years old. I live in Wolftone Close, it’s over smiths toy store. I go to school in the Liberties College. I like to swim and also boxing. I learned what drugs do to families doing the course. We wanted other young people to be able to get information about drugs that was right and let them know what help is there. Its better than just telling them not to take drugs.
I really enjoyed the course and putting the stuff together. I think there should be more course’s for young people about drugs and encourage them to do them.
Pato
My name is Patrick Daly. I go to St.Pauls C.B.S in North Brunswick Street. I’m 16 years old. I like to play football and I also like to draw. Going and helping out with the Daisy Campaign was a great experience for me. I learned about all different drugs and what effects they have on you. We made up the daisy awareness campaign to try and stop young teenagers from taking drugs. This whole project was about showing teenagers how drugs can affect your life and also to let them know that there is help there.
Jackie
My name is Jackie, I’m 15. I live in Kevin Barry House, which is beside North King Street. I go to Stanhope Street Secondary School. I am in Transition Year at the moment. It’s a good year and you have lots of fun in it. I like playing basketball, listening to music and going out with my friends and having fun.
By doing this project and getting involved I hope to get information to young people to let them know what services are available to them and where to get information about drugs and their effects. The message I hope to get across is there are services that can help them and that they are not alone.
I enjoyed doing the course because we had lots of fun during it. We learned loads of useful things and got a better understanding of drugs and the all round effects.
Jessica
Heya I’m Jessica Obrien, I’m 15 and I live in the City Centre. I go to Scoil Chaitriona an all Irish School in Glasnevin. I love all sports, I play football, gaelic and go to dancing.
By doing the Daisy Campaign project I learned a lot for myself about drugs and the effects. I wanted to get the message across to other young people that there are other choices than drugs and that there is a lot of help if they do get involved in drugs.
The course we did was amazing, we made loads of friends and learned about photography, video and had good fun.
Maxine
Heya, I’m Maxine Hand. I am 17 and I live in Chancery Street which is just beside the Four Courts. I go to Kings Inns Street School and I am in 6th year. I am a black belt in Tae-Kwon Do and have been doing that for 7 years. I also do majorettes and play football. I am a very active and outgoing person.
When doing this project I wanted to get a clear message across to people of my age, to be aware of drugs and stay away if possible. I wanted young people to see how drugs can effect people and you can never say never! I think by getting involved in this project I set a good example to young people to stay away from drugs. |
